Mission of the Month

To raise mission awareness, each month we support a different mission with financial gifts, prayer, and, if possible, hands-on participation.

Mission of the Month

February 2012 Mission of the Month – Outpost Ministries

Outpost Ministries exists to help the sexually and relationally broken find healing and restoration through relationships with Jesus Christ.

Outpost’s heart is to lead struggling men and women to come into agreement with who Jesus says they are. The primary focus is to lead them to surrender all parts of their lives to Christ’s leadership. Outpost has a total of eight staff members who are fully dependent on the support of churches and individuals. The ministry of Outpost is carried out through its three departments: Adult Ministries, Student Ministries and the Church Relations Outpost offers weekly group ministry.

  1. In January nominations are opened for missions for the coming fiscal year.

  3. The MOM Coordinator gathers a MOM Selection Task Force, with input from the Missions Pastor.
  4. By early Spring, the MOM Selection Task Force reviews the nominations and selects 12 missions, attempting to rotate a portion of them each year.
  5. The MOM Coordinator schedules the 12 missions over the fiscal year, according to input from the 12 contact persons.
  6. The selections and schedule are reviewed by the Parish Council.
